When I was in college, I made the decision to invent my own career path centered on my personal values. I turned my passion for writing and strategic planning into a career in communications, branding, and partnership development, only working for causes I personally believe are helping people and improving lives. We spend so much of our lives at work, it’s important to me to love what I do and to do good for society while I’m at it.

I have a master’s degree in Museum Studies - a result of pursuing my love for connecting the past to the present and future. I wrote my thesis on using rebranding as a tool for increasing accessibility and growing audiences in museums, linking in my background in communications. I have over a decade of experience working in museums, government, nonprofits, and higher education, have helped lead rebranding processes for about a dozen organizations, and have forged numerous cross-sector partnerships to fuel innovative thinking using ethical frameworks. I’m also a freelance writer (focused on women’s leadership and food and wine) for a couple of publications in my hometown of Austin, Texas, and am an active volunteer and advocate for the arts and historic preservation.

But, enough of all that professional stuff. I’m most proud to be mom to two daughters who are absolute rays of sunshine, Summer (age 4) and Siena (age 1), and wife to an amazing partner, Brian, who shares my passion for the arts and reminds this Type-A woman to let loose and be more spontaneous. They inspire me every day.

I live in the Texas Hill Country and spend as much free time as possible consuming beautiful vistas, Texas wine, live music, and visual art.
